Vermentino and local rarities
Caressed by cooling night winds, we find ideal conditions for producing wines that are as elegant as they are powerful and distinctive. This is the home of Vermentino. The white variety dominates Gallura, just as the red Cannonau does inland. No wonder, as the grape produces one of the best white wines in Italy. It will be the most important wine in terms of volume.
At the same time, however, we want to revive old, red varieties that have almost been forgotten due to the success story of Vermentino. The local varieties Caricagiola, Bovale Sardo and Cagnulari are central here, but the vineyard is also planted with the well-known Cannonau and Monica. There is also the very rare white variety Arvesiniadu and a local clone of Moscato.
In keeping with the motto of “original growth instead of uniformity”, we want to take these varieties to oenological heights. All paired with organic cultivation and careful treatment of nature.
Ino is our single-varietal Vermentino, a DOCG Vermentino di Gallura Superiore. Iadu is characterized by the beguiling aroma of Arvesiniadu, which is given strength by a proportion of Vermentino and a dash of Moscato.
The fruity red Iola is dominated by Caricagiola in a duet with Monica. In the Vale, Cannonau complements the powerful Bovale, while Merlot provides the elegance. Cagnulari is the main variety in the Lari, where Cannonau also contributes depth.
